9-11-2001 We Will Never Forget!

Thanks to all of you fellow American citizens in Mayberry and abroad! Thanks to all of you right here in Mt. Airy for the great donations and contributions to the WTC! The time spent in New York City was both productive and awesome. After the initial shock of being surrounded by asphalt, concrete, and steel, we were able to hand out approximately three thousand tracts explaining the gospel of the One God Almighty, Jesus Christ. We were also able to distribute all of the supplies we received here at ARJAY to the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. There we were able to work with the Red Cross, Nassau, Salvation Army, and several other social workers. We unloaded all of the supplies immediately and then loaded up the truck with fresh supplies which were supplied to the EMS Supply Post, One Police Center, and Ground Zero. We were able to see the magnitude of the mayhem that was wrought on Sept. 11th in the flesh. It was something that cannot be put into words, but one thing is for certain, war is definitely the answer! I asked a pair of state police on site if I could take a few pictures to bring back for my brothers and sisters in Mt. Airy. They told me as long as the camera didn't flash, and as long as I didn't take any pictures of the deceased, I could snap a few right quick. I had to take them quickly and without a flash, so some of them turned out a little blurry. I didn't feel right about taking pictures once I was in the middle of the wreckage, so I only took a few pictures at the entrance to the area. Click here for pictures.
